The Hays County Sheriff's Office has arrested a fugitive who escaped from custody on Friday along with a woman who was harboring him.
According to a HCSO press release, the HCSO Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Justin Alan Carroll, 26, of Austin, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Carroll was arrested for a violation of parole warrant he was originally apprehended for, along with charges of Evading Arrest and Escape. The unit also arrested Monique Carmona, 25, of Kyle, who was arrested for Harboring a Fugitive and a failure to appear warrant for Public Lewdness.
Carroll escaped from the custody of Hays County deputies late Friday afternoon in the area of Keystone Loop in the Steeplechase Subdivision. Deputies orignally arrested Carroll on a violation of parole warrant.
According to the release, Carroll was found in the area in the company of Carmona.
