Families affected by the recent flooding throughout Hays County can get information and resources at the Survivor Resource Center at Old Kyle City Hall (111 S. Burleson Rd.) Tuesday-Thursday, November 3-5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friends of Transitional Housing
A “Friends of Transitional Housing” group is forming to support transitional housing ministry in our community. The vision is for this group to come along-side transitional housing efforts to help single mother families get on their feet, to cheerlead for, support and raise funds for this effort. The transitional housing ministry that is being developed will be Christian-based, and will support single mother families with 6 months-1 year transitional housing, along with support, coaching and mentoring by community members. The kick-off information meeting will be a free breakfast, Saturday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m., at Hays Hills Baptist Church, 1401 N. FM 1626 in Buda. Bldg. D. Contact [email protected] for more information.
