John J. Dooley III passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Dec 2, 2015 in Kyle, TX. He was born in Denver, CO to John and Rose Dooley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jane Dooley; son John Dooley and wife Penny of Brooklyn, NY; son Timothy Dooley and wife Petra of Austin, TX; daughter Kathleen Kowal and husband Kristian of Des Moines, IA; his brothers Eugene Lutz of Houston, TX and Richard Lutz of Denver, CO.
John proudly served our country as a U.S. Navy aircraft mechanic shortly after graduating high school. He went on to a career with the U.S. Postal Service spanning 40 years. Upon retirement, John spent his time doting upon his family and his cherished grandchildren, Hannah and Wyatt. He will be missed dearly by friends and family.
We will be hosting an Irish celebration of his life and loves in Des Moines, IA at a later date.
