Hays High runner Esmi Fuentes led the Rebel cross country contingent Saturday as she claimed a seventh place overall finish in the varsity girls run at the New Braunfels Invitational meet.
Fuentes’ top ten finish was done against a field of 93 runners in the varsity girls 3,000-meter course. Overall, the Hays girls cross country team exited the weekend by finishing seventh out of 11 teams in the competition.
