Halloween Candy Carnival


On Oct. 23 from 6:30 - 9 p.m., J.L. Smith Academy at 11530 Manchaca Road will be having their Halloween Candy Carnival.  The Carnival is open to the public with a haunted house, train rides, jumpy houses, and games for all ages.  There will be a silent auction in the gym. Come dressed in your Halloween costume and enter our costume contest. The contest is for adults and children. There will be prizes for the best adult and best child costume.


Boo-da Halloween


The 10th annual Boo-da Halloween will be held at the downtown Buda greenbelt on Oct. 24 from 5-7 p.m. Get out your best costume and trick-or-treat with local businesses.


Farmer Fred’s Fall Carnival


Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival will be held Oct. 24 from 6-9 p.m. Activities include free carnival games, free prizes, candy and a children’s costume contest. Registration for the contest is from 6-6:45 p.m. The event will be held at San Marcos Plaza Park.


St. Stephen’s
Fun Run


St. Stephen’s Episcopal School will host its 11th annual benefit fun run at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015. The Halloween themed 5K trail run, and 1K kiddie run, will take place on the school’s 52-acre Hill Country campus it shares with the church. This chip-timed event has an element of fall festivity with a Halloween costume contest for participants of all ages. Participants are encouraged to walk, run, even bring a jog-stroller. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Register today at www.ststeveschool.org. 


 


Run 4 Your Life 5K


Run or walk this spooky nighttime street 5K in the Blanco Vista neighborhood on Oct. 30. Registration begins at 8 p.m. and the 5K begins at 9 p.m. Proceeds benefit Hope & Love 4 Kids.


Downtown Kyle Halloween Treat Trail


On Halloween afternoon from 1-4 p.m., local businesses and organizations will set up tents and tables at City “Scare” Park to provide a fun and safe opportunity for trick-or-treating. All ghosts and goblins young and old are invited to come out to the Treat Trail for a fun afternoon of treats and a costume contest. To enter the costume contest, register at the gazebo by 1:45 p.m.


Fall Festival


City Chapel at Slaughter Creek will host its second annual fall festival at Green Meadows Park in Buda from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 31. Enjoy train rides, jumpy castles, pumpkin painting, costume contests and more. 


Dia de los Muertos


Enjoy a free evening filled with music, dance, food, face painting, and crafts as you learn about what this holiday means and how to create your own Dia de los Muertos altar. Share stories, but take home more than just memories. The event will be held Oct. 29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Rec Hall.


Dia de los Muertos Mariachi Extravaganza


The 5th annual Mariachi Extravaganza will be held Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kyle City Square Park. Enjoy mariachi music by musicians from Chapa, Simon, and Wallace middle schools and Lehman High School, along with food and family friendly fun.
