A 12 kill effort from junior Hailee Morton guided the Hays Lady Rebel volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-18, 25-20 win over the Del Valle Cardinals Friday at Bales Gym.
Hays (14-17, 3-3) breaks its two game district losing streak and returns to .500 in district play.
Hays High junior Mackenzie Coates had 12 assists in the match, while sophomore Kaitlyn Krafka had 11 digs and five aces. Lady Rebel senior Chloe Giberson finished with 2.5 blocks.
The Lady Rebels host Bowie Tuesday evening at Bales Gym. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
