Uhland tops sales tax numbers in Hays County

For the second month in a row, Uhland saw the largest percentage increase in sales tax collected over a year’s time.

By collecting just over $15,000 in sales tax last month, Uhland saw its sales tax numbers jump by 73 percent from October 2014 to October 2015.

Uhland’s sales tax figures was part of the more than $3 million collected by Hays County in October. The county overall saw a 2.2 percent increase in sales tax collections from last October. The county overall has collected just over $36 million in sales tax in 2015.
