For the second month in a row, Uhland saw the largest percentage increase in sales tax collected over a year’s time.
By collecting just over $15,000 in sales tax last month, Uhland saw its sales tax numbers jump by 73 percent from October 2014 to October 2015.
Uhland’s sales tax figures was part of the more than $3 million collected by Hays County in October. The county overall saw a 2.2 percent increase in sales tax collections from last October. The county overall has collected just over $36 million in sales tax in 2015.
In the western part of Hays County, Dripping Springs collected roughly $165,000 in sales tax in October, which increases the city’s year-to-date total to $1.8 million. Dripping Springs so far has seen a 7.7 percent increase in year-to-date sales tax figures.
Wimberley saw its sales tax numbers from last October increase by almost 19 percent. Wimberley collected over $96,000 in sales tax.
Meanwhile, Kyle continues to see its sales tax numbers increase. The city collected just over $600,000 in October, which amounts to a 15 percent jump in collections from last year.
Buda saw a minimal increase from last October, as the city only saw a .93 percent increase in sales tax.
