The Hill Country Community Band will play a concert with the Wallace Middle School wind ensemble at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center in Kyle.
Manchaca Methodist Craft Show
The Craft Group of Manchaca Methodist Church celebrates its 40th anniversary at the annual craft show and sale on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 15 from 12-2 p.m. The craft group works all year for this event and will have hand-made gifts for all seasons, especially Christmas. The craft group helps support many local charities, nursing homes and the food pantry among others. The show and sale is free and held in the family Life Center at Manchaca Road and FM 1626.
Wine and Wassail Walk in San Marcos
Enjoy an evening of holiday cheer that includes a progressive tour of retail businesses in San Marcos serving a variety of wines, homemade wassail, and paired hors d’oeuvres. Kick off the holiday season with exclusive shopping specials at retailers. Take a horse-drawn carriage around the Courthouse Square for a guided historic tour. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Hays County and downtown improvements by the Main Street Program. The event is from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 in the downtown square. Driftwoodstock
Driftwoodstock, a benefit for Wimberley flood victims, will be held 3-11 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at 101 Rolling Oaks in Driftwood. There will be music, food, games, and a silent auction. Artists featured are: Tottsie and the Flames, Kathy and the Kilowatts, Doug Marsh and the Shimstocks, Bobtom Reed/Three Hands High, Robert Johnson’s Soul, David Touchston, Rick Hornyak, Sam Colton, and Stoney Gabel. Bring your own chairs and alcohol.
Denim and Diamonds
The Hays CISD Education Foundation will host the annual Denim and Diamonds fundraiser event on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 6-11:30 p.m. at the TDS Exotic Game Ranch (11508 Carl Rd. in Creedmoor). Concerts for a Cause
This month’s Concerts For A Cause benefits The Simply Charming Mos of Kyle. The Mos raise money and awareness for Movember on November 21 at Down South Railhouse. Trashy and the Kid and The Easy Out will be performing. The event is free but donations are welcome. There will also be a silent auction with many items, including several mustache-themed items, a Randy Rogers Band autographed guitar, Wiley Ross art, a #KeepItKyle Gift basket and more.
