Fly In or Drive In Plane and Car Show
On May 9, enjoy a car and plane show at the Commemorative Air Force Exhibit in San Marcos (1841 Airport Drive). Celebrate the accomplishments of the Greatest Generation’s veterans. May 8 is the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, called VE Day. These heroes will be recognized at the “Fly In or Drive In” car and plane show. Expect to see over 150 cars and over 30 aircraft in the third annual show. The Tri-City Flyers RC Model Aircraft Club from San Antonio will be displaying their remote controlled aircraft also.
A great way to say thanks to these veterans and enjoy a fun filled family day. The World War II hangar and museum will be open and flights on the B-25 “Yellow Rose” and a helicopter can be purchased.
Kyle Market Days
On Saturday, May 8, head to the historic City Square park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for local vendors, arts & crafts, farm to market items, live music and more. This month’s theme is “Keeping it Kyle.”
Splash Dogs Dock Jumping Competition
Cabela’s will host this three-day event Friday through Sunday at Cabela’s in Buda. This UKC-sanctioned event will be a competition in which dogs will jump in a 20’x40’ splash pool from a 40’ docking trailer.
