Both Lehman and Akins stumbled out of the gates to start district play last week. One team will get on the winning track Thursday. Through the first three games, the Lobo offense has struggled to get the ball rolling; Lehman hasn't eclipsed 300 total yards in a game so far this year. Zamora leads the passing offense, while Brown has emerged as the leading rusher. But the Lobos will have to break through an Akins defense that's allowed 25-points or fewer so far this year. It could be a challenge for a Lobo team that's gained only 629-yards of total offense to start the year. On the opposite end, Akins' offense hasn't been shy in putting up the points. Prior to their 25-22 loss to Del Valle, Akins scored a combined 77 points on Reagan and Crockett. They'll take on a Lobo defense that's given up more than 400-yards in each of their first three games. Great starts have been a staple for the Lobos; Lehman has allowed only 7 points in the first quarter. But can they keep the momentum for the full four quarters? Doing so could give the Lobos a leg up in their quest for a victory.
