Temporary repairs to begin on Bunton Creek Road in Kyle

Staff Report

The City of Kyle street department will begin making temporary repairs to Bunton Creek Road starting Monday.

According to a city press release, the project consists of repairs to several areas of the road that present the “biggest problems for motorists.”

Problem areas are located west of Dacy Lace prior to Fire Station No. 2

Repairs are scheduled to begin Monday, June 8 and are projected to take up to three weeks to complete.

Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays. City officials urge motorists to be alert toward the presence of construction workers during the project.

According to city officials, the complete reconstruction of Bunton Creek Road, as approved under the $36 million road bond, is scheduled to begin as early as October 2015. It will include the addition of a two-way left turn lane, the placement of a three-way stop at Goforth and Dacy Lane and improved drainage.
