First Thursday in Buda


From 5-9 p.m. businesses stay open for shopping, dining, music and fun. Support your local businesses and enjoy an evening out. First Thursday focuses on providing downtown visitors the chance to stroll through the unique local shops, while enjoying food from downtown restaurants. Kyle Invader Wheel Roundup car show


Join the Kyle Invaders for the 2nd annual Kyle Invader Wheel Round-Up car show on Aug. 2 from 12 - 5 p.m. in the Lehman High School sports parking lot. $20 to enter cars/trucks and SUVs, $15 to enter a motorcycle and $10 for bikes and tricycles. All proceeds will go to the Kyle Youth Football Association 2015 football and cheer season. There will be fun for all ages so bring the family and enjoy good music, good food and nice cars. Concerts for a Cause at Down South Railhouse


Concerts for A Cause is throwing the most entertaining school supply drive Kyle has ever seen from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Down South Railhouse. There will be live music by South Austin’s Motion to Revoke and others as well as food and raffles. This event is to raise money and supplies for the 11th Annual Hope & Love 4 Kids School Supply drive. Please grab some items and head on down. The show is free. Donations of items and money will be accepted at the event. Items needed: backpacks, plastic supply box, composition notebooks, thick Crayola markers, #2 pencils, colored pencils, wide-ruled notebook paper, 1.5” binders, large pink erasers, highlighters, water color set, pocket folders with brads, dividers, plastic folders with brads, pencil sharpener, pencil bag, pens, 8 oz. bottle of glue, spiral notebooks, tissues.


 


Concert in the Park at San Marcos Plaza Park


Every Thursday from June till August you can enjoy an evening of music at the newly renovated San Marcos Plaza Park.  Fun for the whole family! The music starts at 7:30 p.m. Terri Hendrix Band with Lloyd Maines are tomorrow’s performers.
