Green receives green to continue service

Howard Green who has been providing Mt. City with trash service for nearly 25 years, was recently unable to keep up with his routes while recuperating from a minor head injury, in addition to his truck breaking down. But through generous donations from Mt. City residents, and from some people that were just in the spirit of giving, over $6,185 was raised to help Green fix his truck and continue his routes. The Gofundme account was set up by Mt. City councilperson Suzanne Hallam, who presented the check to Green at the Hays Free Press office where Hallam works.
