The ranging tones of well polished brass horns and the staccato sound of percussion equipment in sync filled the air Saturday as several Drum Corps International groups rehearsed at Hays CISD campuses in Kyle. Four groups practiced in Kyle as they readied for the DCI Southwestern Championship at the Alamodome in San Antonio on July 18. Making stops in Kyle were the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps of Rosemont, IL, Jersey Surf from Berlin, NJ and the Oregon Crusaders from Portland, OR. (Photos by Moses Leos III)
