Hays County officials Friday confirmed the identity of a child's body found along the banks of the Blanco River as six-year-old Andrew McComb.

Emergency Management Coordinator Kharley Smith said dental records were used to identify McComb, whose body was found Wednesday at the end of Water Park Road in Wimberley.

San Marcos Emergency Management Coordinator Ken Bell said search crews continue their efforts and that crews are searching 20-plus miles of river, stretching from Blanco to Caldwell Counties.

"There is no debate in the room, this is going to get done," Bell said on the continued search for the missing. "We are going to exhaust every effort to make this happen."
