Roughly seven months after being voted into office, Hays County Court at Law #2 Judge David Scott Glickler was arrested May 26 on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
Glickler, 46, was booked into the Hays County Jail on May 27 and was released on the same day on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.
According to a press release, a Hays County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop at 11:30 p.m. May 26 on a vehicle located on IH-35 near the 213-mile marker in Kyle.
The deputy interviewed the driver, who was identified as Glickler, and arrested him based on the “officer’s probable cause suspicion” of DWI.
It is unknown what Glickler’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was.
In November, Glickler was elected to the Hays County Court at Law #2 office by defeating incumbent Linda Rodriguez.
According to a 2014 report from the Austin American-Statesman, Glickler had been arrested in 2004 after being pulled over and refusing a breathalyzer test.
Glicker had been stopped in Travis County after driving backwards on a one-way street. According to the report, Glickler spent a night in jail and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving.
