Staff report

The Kyle Police Department is investigating the suspicious deaths of two adults found in a home in the 800 block of Sledge Street.

According to a Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett, the bodies were found overnight between Thursday and Friday. Officers arrived late last evening on a welfare call because an out-of-town relative was concerned that they had not heard from the occupants of the home for several days.

Barnett said at this point it is believed there is one male and one female who are both believed to be Caucasian. The cause of death is not known at this time. Pct 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith has ordered autopsies of both bodies. The identities of the victims are being withheld until the next of kin can be notified.

Detectives with Kyle Police Department are investigating all information and leads regarding the case. If anyone has any information they should call the Kyle Police Department. The Hays Free Press will continue to report updates on this story as they are released.
