Six Lobos received the 2015 Totem Awards. Initiated by LHS Art Teacher Debra Flynn, who initially won a Hays CISD Education Foundation Innovative Teaching Grant to fund her idea, the students were selected for each of the school’s guiding principles. One male and one female student were chosen for each. The Class of 2015 winners are Jesse Perez and Neriah Sosa received the award for Integrity, Noel Luna and Araceli Rangel received the award for Wisdom, and Damienn Alcala and Shelby White received the awards for Pride. Award-winners from the previous school year’s senior class were on hand to present the awards to their successors.
