HCISD launches District Dashboard
Parents, staff and community members now have easier access to district performance data through the District Dashboard at www.hayscisd.net/dashboard. This interactive tool allows users to search campus, district, regional, and statewide information related to four data categories: students, academic, financial, and staff.
Seton Health Fair Oct. 3
The annual Seton Medical Center Hays Health Fair will be held Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Seton Hays (6001 Kyle Parkway in Kyle). The event is free and open to all residents. Attendees can enjoy free health screenings, food demonstrations and activities for the kids including face painting and a visit from Bonzo the Clown. Attendees can also prepare for the upcoming flu season with flu shots provided by Walgreens.
VFW awards, scholarships deadlines coming
The VFW “Voice of Democracy” audio-essay competition and “Patriot’s Pen” youth essay contest entries will be due Nov. 1. Students in grades 9-12 may enter Voices of Democracy, while students in grades 6-8 may enter Patriot’s Pen. Visit www.vfw.org for more information.
