Hays alum excels off the field at Georgetown

For the second year in a row, Hays High graduate and current Georgetown University softball player Hannah Ramsey has made the grade both on and off the field. In July, Ramsey was one of 2,000 student-athletes to be named to the 2014-2015 All Big East All-Academic team. Her selection to the team marks the second year in a row Ramsey was named to the Big East All-Academic team. Ramsey’s impact last season was also felt on the field as well. As a sophomore, Ramsey made 20 starts and played in 32 games in 2015. She led the team in batting average at .316 with 18 hits, 5 RBIs and two home runs. She also boasted a slugging percentage of .439.
