Kyle Mental Health and Pet Fair
Join Kyle Animal Control for the 3rd annual mental health and pet fair at City Square Park, next to the historic city hall. The event will be held May 16 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Enjoy pet contests, bounce house, K9 demonsrations and more.
Swing on the Square
Formerly the Texas Natural and Western Swing Festival, this annual event features western swing acts and a variety of other styles of music that are the roots of western swing: including blues, 1940s jazz, big band and country. On the courthouse square in San Marcos May 15-17.
Dick’s Classic Garage Car Show

Dirt Dauber Festival
May 16-17 head to the Eye of the Dog Art Center in San Marcos for the annual clay festival. Enjoy clay art demonstrations, refreshments, a kids' clay play table and live music.
Brewgrass Festival
Come out and support your local sheriff’s department. On May 16 from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Brewster’s Pizza will be hosting the Brewgrass Festival at the Junction (9595 Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley). Enjoy face painting, live music, hourly prizes, talent competition and more. All proceeds benefit the Hays County Sheriff’s Department.
Remember the fallen
Join the VFW Kyle/Buda Post #12058 to observe Memorial Day with a flag raising ceremony, guest speaker, food and drink. Take a moment to remember those who served our country. Takes place at 8 a.m. May 25 at 103 S. Front Street in Kyle.
