Buda Police seek possible burglary suspect

Staff report

The Buda Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man they believe is a possible suspect in a string of neighborhood car burglaries.

According to the Buda Police Department's Facebook page, the suspect is described as a white male in his late teens or early twenties. The man is about 5-feet, 8-inches tall with short brown hair and possibly brown eyes. The individual commonly wears baggy clothing and a gold wrist watch.

Buda Police obtained a photo of the possible suspect after he was photographed using a stolen credit card from one of the burglaries.

The department's search for the possible suspect is part of their ongoing investigation into a string of vehicle burglaries in Buda neighborhoods. Those burglaries  occurred between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. on random nights with the majority taking place in the Cullen Country neighborhood. Two of the burglaries occurred in the Garlic Creek neighborhood.

The string of burglaries have all taken place within the past week. All vehicles that were burglarized were unlocked.

Anyone with information on this subject is asked to call the Buda Police Department at 512.312.1001 during business hours or Hays County Communications at 512.393.7896.
