Staff report
The Hays County Development Services Department said on Sunday that Hays County Parks will remain closed until further notice, this according to a Hays County press release. Those parks include the Johnson and Vetter Parks along the Blanco River at Five Mile Dam and Jacob’s Well Natural Area near Wimberley
“All of our parks had flooding and damage from the intense rain and flood waters,” Development Services Director Clint Garza said in a statement. “For the safety of our visitors as well as to ensure that no additional damage occurs, the parks will be closed until we can fully assess and repair damage, which may take weeks to months.”
According to a Hays County press release, some repairs at Johnson Park had been completed following the Memorial Weekend floods and will have to be redone.
