Polo season begins in Kyle

This past Friday night kicked off County Line Polo Club’s fourth season of Club Chuckers that will be played every Friday night until the fall. Chuckers is a term for the six seven and a half minute segments that a polo match is made up of. Friday’s match was between County Line Polo Club and the Texas State University Polo Club. This first game was more of a practice match with no final score being tallied. Polo Club owner Seth Bray (left) who plays on the County Line team runs an excavation business for his full-time job, but for the past four years, he’s been sharing his passion for polo with others, at first giving free lessons to people who wanted to learn. “It was a hobby that turned into a business,” said Bray. Bray works with riders of all skill levels and says he can even teach a quick learner with no experience riding to be able to play within a day. (Photos by David White)
