Hays Rebel pride was on display on Aug. 19 as the school held its annual Red and Blue program at Bob Shelton Stadium. Rebel fans were introduced to the Hays High cross country, volleyball and football teams, and viewed performances from the Hays Highsteppers and cheerleading squad. The program concluded with the Hays Rebel band playing the school’s new fight song, played to the tune of “On Wisconsin,” which was met with cheers, applause and rhythmic clapping.
