Swimming holes closed until Saturday, June 6 in Hays County

Many of the parks in Hays County along the Blanco and San Marcos rivers are closed and are not expected to open any earlier than Saturday. Blue Hole and Jacob's Well in Wimberley are among those parks, however other Blue Hole amenities are open for use, like the walking trails, basketball courts, picnic areas, etc.

All of the San Marcos city parks along the river are closed, including Rio Vista Park, Children’s Park, City Park and Bicentennial Park are closed until Saturday also, but other city parks like Thompson Island, Stokes Park and Blanco Shoals Natural Area will be closed for an indefinite period until they can be cleared of debris.
