Rosendo H. De Leon (1945-2015)

Rosendo H. De Leon aka “Roe” was born March 1, 1945, to Refugia and Felipe De Leon and was one of eight siblings. He was very close to his sister, Luisa Mendoza of Austin.

He served his country in battle during the Vietnam War with the U.S Army 1st Infantry (Big Red 1). He was a true soldier in every sense – he exuded strength. He was very funny and intelligent and his grandkids and great-grandkids were his entire world.

He passed away at age 70 on July 10, 2015, surrounded by family who adored him in the comfort of his own home as he deeply desired.

Rosendo is survived by daughter and son-in-law Diane and Joe Perez, four grandchildren and grandson-in-law (Ashley and Jonathan Gutierrez, Joey, Nick and Madison Perez) and two great-grandchildren (Noah Gutierrez and Natalie Perez).
