Heavy hearts in Hays

Heavy hearts in Hays County tonight as earlier this evening, Kyle resident Doug Kadjar passed away. According to friends and family, he was recently diagnosed with cancer. A Hays County resident since 1989, Kadjar was an investment property manager and was a realtor for 15 years. He served six years on the Hays County Appraisal Review Board, with the last two as chairperson. Kadjar recently ran for the PEC District 7 board position against Jeff Barton and Amy Lea SJ Akers for, which Akers won. He was also an active member and leader of the Hays County Constitutional Republicans, serving as Party Affairs Chairman. He leaves behind a wife, Brenna, and four children.
