Dive-in movie: The Pirates – Band of Misfits
The City of Kyle invites everyone to the Kyle Pool on July 24 for a showing of “The Pirates: Band of Misfits.” The pool will close at 7 p.m. and pool staff will hand out tickets to the first 230 people. The pool will reopen at 8 p.m. to admit those with tickets. The pool will close 30 minutes after the end of the movie. Call 512-262-3939 for information.
Archery Classic at Cabela’s
Join Cabela’s for this year’s Archery Classic and learn more about archery and expand your knowledge and passion for the outdoors. The event will be held on July 25 and 26, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a Youth Archery Shoot from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday as well as a 3D Target Archery Competition from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. COP HD: Citizens on Policing – Honest Dialogue
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ongoing dialogue with local law enforcement officers with the goal of promoting a healthier, more positive relationship with area residents. This is the fourth in a series of ongoing community meetings. Questions and concerns are discussed in a professional, courteous manner. All are invited to attend this Town Hall meeting to share ideas and be part of the discussion about public safety and the community’s relationship with police and first responders. This installment of COP HD takes place from 7-8 p.m. July 28 at the Connection Church, located at 1235 S. Loop 4 (FM 967 & Main Street), Buda.
