Hays High presents The Addams Family
This Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Burdine Johnson Theatre, prepare yourself for the unexpected – and the laughter – as members of the Hays High School Theater Department host opening night for its production of “The Addams Family.” The Catherine Crafton-directed group brings the always hilarious trappings of this pop culture family to life (well, sort of to life) in a show that runs through Sunday, Nov. 15. Shows are scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and children.
Fuentes Elementary to host 15-year reunion
On Nov. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fuentes Elementary will have a Fuentes Elementary Family Reunion. The school is planning to have food, games, family photos and an all Fuentes Family aerial photo at noon. Ms. Butcher said “we’re receiving RSVPs from many former and current staff, parents and students. We’ve even received an RSVP from a former staff member who is flying in for this event. Principal Regina Butcher adds, “All the games, activities, and food will be offered at low or no cost to attendees. This event isn’t a fundraiser for the school, it’s a celebration of community.”
