Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival
Historic Downtown Dripping Springs will play host to local, national and international songwriters and performers for this second annual event Oct. 16-18. Enjoy free shows continuously during the day at various venues on Mercer Street such as the Barber Shop, Mercer Street Dance Hall, The Mercantile and more. The evening headliner shows include Grammy-nominated songwriters JD Souther, Scott Emerick, Allen Shamblin and more. Founders Day in Kyle
On Saturday, Oct. 17, beginning at 10 a.m., the Kyle Founders Parade will once again pass through downtown. The parade participants will be gathering at Gregg-Clarke Park, head east on Center Street and end at the City Square Park gazebo. After the parade, all gathered are invited to sing “Happy Birthday” to Kyle and have a piece of birthday cake. Kyle Market Days vendors will set up for the final event of the year from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the City Square.
KUMC Fall Festival
Head to Kyle United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 17 for the annual Fall Festival. The fun begins directly after the Kyle Founders Parade (approximately 10:30 a.m.) and ends at 1 p.m. Enjoy games, a silent auction, hotdogs and drinks, a bake sale, a costume corner and an awesome Pumpkin Patch. KUMC is located at at 408 W. Lockhart Street (one block North of Center Street at Sledge Street).
Creedmoor Community Festival
The annual Creedmoor Community Festival will be held Oct. 17 at the Creedmoor Communtiy Center. Join your community in a fun-filled day of cake walks, face painting, arts and crafts booths, BBQ cook-offs and much more.
