Kyle man found safe by authorities

Hays County officials have safely found a Kyle man who had been reported missing Friday. 


 


In a press release, the Hays County Sheriff's Office made contact with Douglas Wayne Phillips and reunited him with his family Saturday morning. 


 


Phillips reported to authorities that he had been displaced during the flood and that he was unable to get home. He took shelter and remained safe during the storm and its aftermath.

The Hays County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help as they search for a Kyle man who was reported missing Friday. 


 


According to a press release, the HCSO received a report of a welfare concern at around 5:30 p.m. Friday for Douglas Wayne Phillips, 73, of Kyle.  Phillips, a white male, is hearing impaired and can have memory problems. He takes medication.


 


It was reported that Phillips had left his residence off of Santa Fe Run in Kyle at approximately 8:45 a.m. Friday to travel to the Kyle area.  The male has not returned home. He was last seen driving a 2008 Blue Chevrolet Crew Cab 1500 Pickup with Texas liscence plate 9GJSK.
