The Friends of the Buda Library will host their 22nd annual membership meeting on Sunday, January 26 at 2 p.m. at the library. Guest speaker will be Buda Mayor Todd Ruge. Join the members as they review the year 2013, honor contributors and volunteers Jennifer Etheridge, Athena Berreles-Luna, Cheyenne Hel and Bob Banish. The Friends will also take a look at what’s ahead for this year.
If you are not a member of the Friends, join the group and learn what they are all about and how they have help support the library since 1992.
John Shackelford of Buda placed 4th in his age division of 70-74 in the 3M Half Marathon in Austin last Sunday. His time was 1:57:59.
Denny Huesser, along with his wife Kara, celebrated his birthday last weekend with his Buda friends and family at his parents ranch in D’Hanis. All had a great time making Huesser feel better about the big 4-0.
Happy birthday to Louise Dahlke, Annette Chambers-Rodriguez, Tim Goebler, Wiley Hopkins and our Free Press gals Suzanne Hallam and Emily Fry on January 22; Anita Farber and the Grizzle twins, Grant and Garison turn eight-years-old on January 23.
Don’t forget the Hays County 4-H and FFA Stock Show is going on this week at the Dripping Springs Ranch Event Center.
