High-powered offense was the key on Thursday and Saturday, as the Lehman Lobos (14-5, 4-4) outscored the Lockhart Lions 18-4 to claim the series sweep. Lehman extends their win streak to three games, and now places themselves back into the thick of the district playoff race.
Lehman’s onslaught began with a 10-2 rout at home on Thursday. The Lobos struck early, taking a 7-0 lead into the fourth inning. Their effort was highlighted by a second inning grand slam from senior Justin Penney. On Saturday, Lehman claimed an 8-2 victory over the Lions on the road in Lockhart.
