Thank you to the Buda Lions Club for bringing out town another great weekend of County Fair & Weiner Dog Races. The non-profit organizations that participated in the two-day event were helped financially and the folks who attended the activities had a good time.
Since 1975, the Buda Lions Club have been such a supportive organization helping out in many ways and making as much money as they can and then giving it back to the community. To name just a few, they send area children to the Texas Lions Camp for kids with physical disabilities and juvenile diabetes, help children with vision impairments, helpd people get cornea transplants from the Lions Eye Bank and guide dogs from the Lions Leader Dogs for the Blind. Just recently they completed renovatio of a house for a local blind couple. They volunteer at the Food Bank and provide transportation for senior citizens to the annual Trail of Lights.
Every year scholarships are awarded to our three high schools, this year two will be given to students at Live Oak Academy of Hays, eight to Lehman and 12 to Hays.
We need the Buda Lions Club and we need the annual Country Fair & Weiner Dog Races in downtown Buda.
