The Peking Acrobats
You don’t have to leave Central Texas to experience the Chinese Theatrical Circus. The Peking Acrobats, straight from The People’s Republic of China, present an afternoon of gravity-defying stunts, mesmerizing routines, daring maneuvers, and authentic Chinese acrobatics. At the Long Center Dell Hall on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
Gear Up 10 Mile Run
The SMMA Gear Up 10 Mile Run, which will benefit area students with ambitions to pursue higher education at a number of area educational institutions, will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 7 a.m. at the Tanger Outlet Center in San Marcos. Join the fun and help raise funds to provide scholarships to area students seeking higher education. Our scenic 10-mile hill country race course is located on a fairly challenging course on rural roads of the Tanger Outlet Center. It is a ten mile course and has moderately rolling hills. The course will close at 10:30 a.m.

EmilyAnn presents Robin Hood
Prepare for adventure with this unexpected take on the classic tale. Using historical research and familiar mythology, this adaptation brings to life the legend with witty dialogue, colorful characters and epic fights. Written & directed by D. Heath Thompson. The show will run from Jan. 31-Feb. 23 with show times at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Performed in the Burdine Johnson Studio Theatre.
Spring Jamboree Train Show
The Spring Jamboree, an annual train show, will take place March 15-16 at the New Braunfels Civic Center, 375 South Castell Avenue. Sponsored by the New Braunfels Railroad Museum, the event will feature large, model train layout exhibits, the famous Kids Run, the Train Layout, a Lego Train Layout and between 50-60 vendors. Refreshments will be available, with plenty of door prizes, silent auction and free train ride tickets for the Landa Park Miniature Railroad for children up to age 10.
