Terry Cobb Dabelgott, devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at her home in San Marcos, Texas.
Terry Jane Cobb was born in Bay City, Texas to I.S. Cobb and Joyce Lunday on Sept. 1, 1951. She was educated in the San Marcos public schools, graduating with the class of 1969. Following high school, Terry earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Southwest Texas State University. She considered her work as a mother to be her greatest achievement.
On Oct. 21, 1978, she married David Andrew Dabelgott, and they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this past year. Terry was preceded in death by her parents, and she is survived by son Dillon and his girlfriend, Morgan Murgia; stepson Clint; sister Linda Cobb; and aunt, Twila Perry.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in San Marcos on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Marbridge Foundation, (P.O. Box 2250, Manchaca, TX 78652) or The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
