29th Annual Hill Country Antique Tractor & Engine Show 


Come out to the Show on June 13 and 14 at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds, two miles south of Fredericksburg on State Highway 16.  Enjoy exhibits of antique tractors and antique engines, an antique tractor parade, tractor-pulls, kiddy tractor-pulls, farm machinery demonstrations, featured operations of large engines, a blacksmith shop, vendors of agriculture-related items, food and drink concessions, etc. The event is free and open to the public.


 


10th annual Blanco Lavender Festival


Head to Blanco June 13 - 15 for free tours of local lavender farms and activities for the whole family. Tour local lavender farms where you will experience the beauty of lavender in the fields and share the unique vision of each farmer. Enjoy a lavender market, music from the Hill Country’s finest musicians in Bindseil Park, and boot scoot at the Lavender Dance, Saturday night with music from the Almost Patsy Cline Band and the Jim Raby Band. Park for free at Yett Memorial Park (1813 US Hwy. 281 in Blanco) and ride the free shuttle to the square on Saturday and Sunday. 


 


YappoPalooza


The 4th annual YappoPalooza Saturday June 14, 2-9 p.m. at San Marcos Plaza Park on the banks of the San Marcos River. Come out for live music, a raffle, a silent auction, great food, kids’ activities, and more. Bring your lawn chair, sunscreen and outdoor toys and come enjoy a day of live music, food and fun for everyone. YappoPalooza has served as a springboard for fundraising that has resulted in over $200,000 to sustain the Bi-national Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle Recovery Project as it has suffered from decreased funding at the state and federal level.
