Last month, six Hays High powerlifters took their talent and skill to the Texas High School Powerlifting Association (THSPA) and Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association (THSWPA) regional meets. One Rebel, senior Jacob Palomares (center) placed second at the Region II meet, allowing him to qualify and compete at the 2014 THSPA State Meet in Abilene on Mar. 22.
