Kyle Elementary School PTA Spring Carnival
Bring the whole family for a day of fun and fundraising. Enjoy a rock wall, face painting, archery booth, music, jumpy castles, games, a photo booth, food and more. There is also a silent auction. The PTA will host a Community Blood Drive from 2-5 p.m. The carnival takes place from 2-6 p.m. March 22 at the Kyle Elementary.
Pet vaccination clinic at Hemphill Elementary
Bring your pet for low-cost vaccinations and help Hemphill Elementary raise money for field trips and a playground canopy. Veterinarian John Y. Tarlton, DVM, will offer rabies, Bordatella and combination vaccines for dogs and cats. Prices range from $5-$20. Flea and heartworm preventative will also be available for sale. Clinic runs from 5-7 p.m. March 25 at the Hemphill bus entrance.
Flapjack fundraiser
Students from the PEP (Pregnancy, Education and Parenting) program at Hays CISD will serve up pancakes, eggs, bacon and drinks as part of a fundraiser for their annual parent-child activity day. They will practice the job readiness and money management skills they learned this year through the Strengthening Relationships/Strengthening Families Program. There will also be prizes raffled at the event. Of every $8 ticket, $5 goes directly to the PEP program. Fundraiser takes place from 8-10 a.m. March 29 at the Applebee’s in Kyle. Check out the Wallace Middle School Talent Show where students will sing, dance and perform their hearts out. Event takes place from 5-6:30 p.m. March 28 at Wallace Middle School.
