Local author Wes Ferguson, former editor of the Hays Free Press, is working on a new book about Texas rivers. This time, he is tackling the Blanco River which runs through Hays County. Beginning in May, Ferguson will traverse the length of the Blanco, learning it’s secrets and talking with those who have stories about the river along the way. He expects the trip to take much of the summer.
In early April, his first book, “The Sabine River, Secrets of the Sabine,” was published by Texas A&M Press. It received rave reviews from several published authors.
