Kyle, San Marcos firefighters battle 18-wheeler fire

First responders from Kyle Fire Department, with help from San Marcos Fire Department, battled a truck fire at a Shell Station on Hwy. 21 near FM 150 on Friday. The fire appears to have started with the truck’s battery. Employees were evacuated and no injuries were reported. Officials say the 18-wheeler is a complete loss, and some damage on the pavilion over the gas pumps is expected due to smoke and heat. (Photo by Mike Vasil)
