Nearly 100 students participated in Chapa Middle Schools’ Girls Night Out Feb. 4. Part of the school’s Family Recipe for Success, the event drew in a record number of participants - 182 total - for an evening of dinner, board games, Zumba, Just Dance on Wii, basketball, along with hair and nail services. Nearly 100 students brought moms, grandmothers, aunts and other important women in their lives to share in the fun. Hays CISD Head Chef Bryant Currie (right) served a healthy fruit and yogurt snack, among other good-for-you foods. Sixth grader Angelina Lara (center) and her mom, Elizabeth, stopped to talk with Currie and taste the goodies.
