Maudie L. Vaught of Buda, Texas, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at the age of 88. She was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Stewarts Prairie, Texas, to William and Georgia (Borrer) Hallmark.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lawrence Vaught, her parents, two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her son, Tommy Vaught and his wife, Sharlotte of Buda; two daughters, Susie Ward and her husband, Bert of Buda and Tammy McKennon of Austin; brother, William Otis Hallmark of Gonzales; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, with the Rev. Gary Rodgers officiating.
