Several MLK Day events are happening next week:
A local civil rights trailblazer reception will be at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 19, at the San Marcos Activity Center.
The Hays County MLK observance ceremony will be at 10 a.m., Jan. 20, on the steps of the south lawn of Hays County Courthouse. The parade march will follow down LBJ Drive to MLK Drive for the Crossroads Memorial dedication honoring LBJ and MLK. There will be a social after at the Dunbar Center.
Ten Tenors from Australia to perform in Boerne
Internationally acclaimed singing sensation, The TEN Tenors, are back in the US with their new show celebrating Broadway’s greatest hits, The TEN Tenors On Broadway. This live experience is a collection of Broadway classics sung by ten of Australia’s hottest tenors.
The group has four gold/two platinum albums and two gold/one platinum DVDs.
The TEN Tenors’ unique approach to opera, rock and pop will be showcased in this special evening of the greatest Broadway songs of all times.
Boerne Performing Arts will open its 2014 season with this musical export from Australia at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 27, at the Boerne Champion Auditorium.
