The first baby of the new year at Seton Medical Center Hays was Aaron Michael Perez, born at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 1, making him the first baby of 2014 in Hays County as well. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 inches long. His parents, Melissa Cantu Perez and Richard Perez, Jr., of Kyle welcomed Aaron into their family of now four sons.
