Spring vegetable garden workshop series
The Hays County office of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a Vegetable Gardening Workshop Series at the Hays County Extension Office on Feb. 1 and Feb. 8. Each day’s workshop runs from 9 a.m.-noon. This workshop is open to the public. The Hays County Extension Office is located at 1253 Civic Center Loop in San Marcos.
On Feb. 1 topics include Garden Site Location, Site Preparation, and Building Soil. Topics for the Feb. 8 workshop include Vegetable Variety Selection, When to Plant, When to Harvest, Companion Planting, Plant Diseases, and Insects.
The registration fee for one workshop is $15. The cost is $20 for both.
Those planning on attending are asked to RSVP to the Hays County Extension Office at (512) 393-2120 by Jan. 30.
