Creation Station: Mother’s Day
The San Marcos Public Library invites kids to make Mother’s Day Cards at its monthly Creation Station on May 10 and 11. Craft materials will be available in the children’s area. Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday to create an original card for mom.
Frozen sing-along
Do you want to build a snowman? Come on out for a free showing of the movie Frozen! Admission is free, but concessions will be sold as a fundraiser for PromiseKids. All proceeds will go toward Kid’s Camp to help as many kids as possible go to camp this summer. Concessions open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m.
Art Squared
The artists performing at Art Squared at the Hitch in San marcos on Saturday, May 10 are Aaron Allan, Missoula Slim, and Grace Park. The music begins at 1:15 p.m. with Aaron Allan, a veteran singer-songwriter who has spent about 70 years in the music business as a performer, disc jockey, and TV personality. San Marcos singer-songwriter Missoula Slim takes the stage at 2:15 p.m. He plays a weekly show at Cheatham Street Warehouse and at other area venues.
