Elijah Lee De Leon, 6, son of Zach DeLeon, of San Marcos, and Rachel Bustamante, of Kyle was born on Sept. 25, 2007, went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 9, 2014.
He was a great big brother and son. His energetic smile will forever shine down on us. His voice will be heard through the winds and his spirit will be carried with us for as long as we remain on Earth.
Eli was smarter than “a fifth grader.” He was the biggest fan of “Louie the Lobo” and regularly attended their pep rallies while cheering on the Lehman football players.
Grandma Mary remembers many trips to Cabela’s and his love for nature.
His last wish was fulfilled at Cabela’s with family and their amazing staff.
Elijah is survived by his parents; three brothers, Jordan, Evan and Jasiah; one sister, Zoey Cataleya; and his grandparents, Mari Parra, Jesse DeLeon, Mary Bustamante, Gonzalo Bustamante and friend “Pete” Moreno.
In Time of Loss
Lonely is the home without you,
Life to us is not the same;
All the world would be like heaven,
If we could have you back again.
A light is from our household gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A place is vacant in our home,
That never can be filled.
May the God of Love and Mercy,
Care our loved one who is gone,
And bless with consolation,
Those left to carry on.
The happy hours we once enjoyed,
How sweet their memory still,
But death has left a vacant place,
This world can never fill.
How dearly we love you.
And prayed you might live,
But Jesus just beckoned,
And we had to give.
God gave us strength to bear it,
And courage to fight the blow,
What it has meant to lose you.
God alone will never know.
Will always miss you Papi,
Love Grandma Mary, Pete and Mom
