Music schedule for Art Squared
Art Squared, the reincarnation of the Art Unhitched art market, starts a new season in a new location on the square in downtown San Marcos, on Saturday, March 8. Music is a component of this monthly event, with performances at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Saturday features three noted local performers – Tracy Weinberg, Albert Mendoza and Matt Amos, all of whom performed on the Art Unhitched stage last year. Weinberg’s style is a mix of blues, folk, and jazzy rhythms, with throaty singing. Tracy’s CD, “Mountains of Dreams,” showcases his songwriting talents. Mendoza performs covers and original songs. He has performed solo and with bands in the area. Amos, a talented singer-songwriter, is currently working on his first CD, which is scheduled for release later this year.
